The Candle Maker’s Son

In a small town, there lived a poor candle maker named Musa. Every evening, he lit his shop with the same candles he sold, filling the street with a soft golden glow. People passed by and admired the warmth, but few ever bought from him because electric lights had taken over.

Musa’s young son, Ibrahim, often asked, “Papa, why do you still make candles when nobody wants them?”

Musa would smile and say, “Because there will always be someone in darkness looking for light.”

One rainy night, the entire town was thrown into a blackout. Streets turned pitch dark, shops shut down, and people stumbled in fear. But Musa’s little shop glowed like a star in the middle of the night. He lit candle after candle and handed them out for free. Soon, the street was filled with light, neighbors helping neighbors, and children laughing as shadows danced on the walls.

From that day, Musa’s candle shop never lacked customers. People realized that in a world of brightness, the true value of light is only known when darkness comes.

Years later, Ibrahim grew up and became a teacher. He never forgot his father’s words. Whenever life grew difficult, he would remind his students:

✨ “Be a candle. Even if the world doesn’t notice you now, someone will need your light when the darkness comes.”
