The Lantern by the River

In a quiet village, there was a legend that every full moon, a single lantern floated down the river, glowing brighter than the stars. People believed it carried the wishes of someone who once lived long ago.

One night, a young girl named Amira stood by the river, her heart heavy with dreams she couldn’t tell anyone. As the moon rose, she saw it—the lantern, drifting slowly toward her. She knelt, whispering her wish into the night: “Give me courage to chase my future.”

The lantern flickered, as if it heard her, and then floated away. The next morning, Amira woke up with a strange strength in her heart. She didn’t know if it was magic, but from that day forward, she chased her dreams with a fire that never dimmed.

The villagers say the lantern still passes every full moon, waiting for someone brave enough to believe.
